ABOUT THE ARTIST
As an emerging designer and lifelong artist, the deepest root of Hailey Pinkerton’s creative mantra comes from her obsession with patterns, space, and color. This lifelong fascination led to a rigorous and successful pursuit of design through Architecture, where Hailey found herself captivated by 2D and 3D forms and how they are influenced by proportion, scale, and color. As she mastered these design elements, they began to combine with her artistic inclinations and took her artwork to a wholly unique area, juxtaposing formal structures with her own imaginative vision.
Hailey Pinkerton was born in Greenville, South Carolina and raised in the outskirts of Columbus, Ohio. Glimpses of Hailey’s interest in geometry were initially evident in the large mandala block patterns she was creating by the age of 3. As a toddler, the intricate block designs planted a seed for visual aesthetics, a seed whose roots were developed through multi-media art classes and a paralleled enthusiasm for mathematics all throughout her primary and secondary education.
Given her organic passion for geometry and numbers, Hailey went on to study architecture at the University of Cincinnati, College of Design, Art, Architecture, and Planning (DAAP). Upon graduating in 2017 with a B.A. in Architecture, she joined the prestigious luxury-residential design firm of Herscoe Hajjar Architects (HHA) in Naples, Florida. As an ongoing consultant with HHA, she is routinely encouraged to push creative boundaries and problem solve through visual puzzles. This is expressed not only in her architectural products, but her artwork as well.
Within her artistic practice, Hailey has focused on select paintings and commissioned custom installations, partnering with multiple business moguls to develop priceless custom sculptures and showings, such as Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, Herscoe Hajjar Architects, and The Bevy, Naples. Hailey is also recognized for donating multiple pieces to non-profit auctions in support of Women’s ….. Her current work in Naples, Florida has been graciously covered by the magazine Gulfshore Life HOME, Spring 2022, highlighting her most recent successes. Today, Hailey continues to create from her home in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she lives with her husband (an elementary school teacher) and her dogs (two large and loving goldendoodles). Hailey credits her success to her mother, Keri, her father, Tom, and her grandmother, Myrla; the three creative, brilliant, and boundary-pushing brains that helped support and cultivate her own.
